Personal highlights for her so to date, including being selected by Snoop Dogg to be his guest in the stage at the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee has kept up her songwriting regimen despite the hectic recent years. She is now a magnet for aspiring producers, she regularly combs through beats sent her way and finds that many are able to spark song ideas. It's only after five seconds that I can determine if a particular beat is worthy of my time. From there I am able to see the concept of a song's whole concept in my brain and I begin to compose. My lyrics come to me whenever I'm outside on the patio, playing my guitar. Usually it takes under 30 minutes. Niykee's past pain is a constant source of inspiration as she develops as an author. Niykee says that, even when she's not composing about the things which are actually happening the pain due to her childhood and the grief over the loss of her daughter finds its way into the music. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and provides it with a deeper significance, something I consider crucial. I would like to be able to listen to my music 20 years from now and be proud of the things I've written.
