Sharp, who was born in Rochester, New York in 1962, was a clarinet player, cellos, and pianos at the Hochstein School of Music. The Boston Conservatory offered her a grant for her theatre program at the school. Cum Laude awarded Sharp a B.F.A. Sharp determined to pursue a career in theater after completing her Cum Laude degree with an B.F.A. Sharp performed on The Broadway National Tour of Carousel. She debuted Off Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. She also played eight characters in the comedic interactive Eat the Runt. Other theatre performances include: Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin' Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp read alongside the playwright August Wilson himself. Sharp is also working on other projects which she's working on alongside her projects for stage and screen. An entire recording is being planned. Sharp also continues to sing. Sharp loves exercising. She keeps herself fit through training in boxing, learning Krav Maga, and taking long roadtrips. Sharp has a home in Los Angeles.
