Dua Lipa is an English artist and performer born August 22, 1995, in London United Kingdom. After a stint as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album entitled "Dua Lipa" in the year 2017. It climbed to the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. Eight singles were released, among them Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked to number 6 within the United States. Lipa is the recipient of Brit Awards for 2018 for the categories of British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act. Additionally, the platinum album has been praised throughout the world. Future Nostalgia's sophomore album was released in 2020. Help her celebrate here. Dua Lipa was born the 22nd of August, 1995 in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. As a result of her maternal grandmother, Dua Lipa is Bosnian. Her ancestors are also tracked back to the Kosovo town of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Gjin and Rina are her siblings. The father of Lipa, who was a musician and lead singer from the Kosovan group Oda, influenced her musically. While at home with her parents, her dad would play original compositions along with songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa was only five when she began singing. At the age of nine she started learning to sing. Lipa performed Beautiful Christina Aguilera's Beautiful as well as If Ain't Got You By Alicia Keys. In 2014, Lipa was signed to a contract in partnership with Warner Bros. Records. The first single she released was New Love was released on August 15, 2015.
